What's an experience with a client that's stuck with you?
When it came to Irish bank shares, I have seen clients think they can beat the market by betting big. However, markets can remain irrational longer than clients can remain solvent.
How did you start off in your career?
My first role as an Investment Funds listing executive with the Irish Stock Exchange.
What's your area of expertise?
Apart from investments I am a reasonable poker player and also can pick a good wine.
Where do you get your inspiration to embrace what's next?
I am naturally a glass half full person. Always looking for the next opportunity and adventure.
What's your favourite thing about your role?
The variety of clients and continually learning that this time it isn't different.
What's next for you personally?
I think 2026 will be my first half marathon and (sprint) triathlon.
When you're not at work, what's your favourite thing to do?
I like to remain active, so this could be anything from running, soccer, golf, poker and even some bad guitar playing. Failing that I will read and listen to music or cook.
Why does my role as a wealth manager matter?
It is an ongoing evolution of life with our clients. As their lives evolve with work, family and age, we are custodians of their wealth during this journey.
