Experience
For over 27 years, Edward has managed discretionary investment portfolios for private clients, encompassing a range of structures such as general investment accounts, ISAs, single family unit trusts and open-ended investment companies (OEICs), self-invested personal pension funds (SIPPs) and small charity accounts. Edward joined the original Smith & Williamson business in April 2002, after five years with Greig Middleton/Gerrard. Edward became a Partner in 2007 and his team comprises 8 people including 5 investment managers.
As part of Evelyn Partners Investment Management’s collegiate investment process, Edward leads the research team covering the house building, construction engineering, building materials and chemicals sectors. He previously led the Japanese collective fund research.
Notable achievements
In 2011, Edward was named in the Private Asset Managers (PAM) ‘Top 40 Under 40’ list of UK private client investment managers.
