About Manchester City Women's Football Club
Founded in 1988 by City in the Community as Manchester City Ladies, a formal partnership with Manchester City was agreed in August 2012. The team were granted entry to the FA Women’s Super League in 2013 before being relaunched as Manchester City Women the following January, offering full-time professional contracts to players for the first time.
Since that professionalisation, there have been eight trophy successes for City including four League Cups (2014, 2016, 2018-19 and 2021-22), three Women’s FA Cups (2016-17, 2018-19 and 2019-20) and one Barclays Women’s Super League title (2016). Also boasting seven successive years of qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League between 2015 and 2022, the team play their home games at the 7,000 capacity Joie Stadium at City Football Academy, the training facility which they share alongside the men’s and academy teams.
Why we are partnering with Manchester City Women's Football Club
At Evelyn Partners, we are committed to supporting progress where it matters most. Our partnership with Manchester City Women’s Football Club is about helping to close the gender wealth advice gap. While the women’s game continues to rise, disparities in pay, training, and post-career support persist.
Through our support of the Rethink Programme, we’re helping MCWFC players prepare for life beyond football- providing access to financial planning, career training, and tailored support to ensure a successful transition. We’re not just investing in the game, we’re investing in the players’ futures.
