How do you describe what you do?

I am an experienced financial planner able to deal with both simple and complex planning matters, tailoring my advice to best suit clients' personal financial needs and objectives.

What's next for you professionally?

I believe that being a financial planner is one of the best jobs to have, and I want to continue to develop and ensure that I provide exceptional advice and service to my clients. I also want to help the next generation of planners on their journey.

How did you start off in your career?

Becoming a financial planner was more by accident than planning, as I was fortunate to be in the right place, at the right time, to get an interview with Standard Life and, after one successful interview, started my career in financial services.

What's your area of expertise?

It is fair to say that "I love pensions" and am often referred to as the "pensions guy" within my professional network. I regularly feature in the National Press on financial planning matters, with a particular focus on pension matters.

What's your favourite thing about your role?

Being a financial planner is one of the best things that you can do for a living, and a lot of the time I don't even view it as a job. It is an immense privilege to work with clients who trust me with their personal and financial details and to help them achieve their goals.

What qualifications and memberships do you have?

I am a chartered financial planner and a member of the Personal Finance Society (PFS). I also hold a degree in Business Studies (BA Hons).
