Professional Biography

I'm here to support my clients with their life goals

How do you describe what you do?

I am here to support my clients in their life goals, ensure they receive a top-class service, and to help them achieve their investment objectives, by managing their portfolios in line with their specific mandates.

What's next for you professionally?

Following the sale of my previous employer to Evelyn Partners, my sole ongoing focus is on ensuring my clients obtain the benefit of the (much) larger investment resource, and are happy with the new service and firm.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

"Hard work makes you lucky." This was from an old badminton coach but I strongly believe in it for most aspects of your life.

How did you start off in your career?

While studying law at university, we did a spot of finance around gilts, which sparked a real interest. My first role was on the demutualisation desk at Barclays Stockbrokers in the 90s, helping clients deal with their windfall shares.

What's your favourite thing about your role?

I love so many things - following markets, world affairs and economies, continually learning, and working with good people. The most rewarding aspect however is the human connection with clients and having a positive impact on their lives and wealth.

What qualifications and memberships do you have?

  • Private Client Investment Advice and Management - Distinction
  • Member of Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI)
