How do you describe what you do?

As a planner I turn the complex into simple. I cover most areas but really enjoy helping people plan retirement and how they are going to pass on their wealth to their families.

What's next for you professionally?

I want to keep meeting new people, I love getting to know them and what they want next for themselves.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

That I decide what is and isn't important. Clients always come first and after that it is up to me to decide.

How did you start off in your career?

I was a self-employed direct salesman for Legal & General so started with no clients at all just the phone books. Every Monday evening was a prospecting session. Some of the skills I learnt then I still use today.

What's your favourite thing about your role?

The people - clients and colleagues. I really enjoy meeting new people and understanding what motivates them and how/if I can help them achieve what they want next on their journey through life.

What qualifications and memberships do you have?

Advanced Financial Planning quailifcations covering Personal Financial Planning, Corporate Financial Planning, Retirement Planning, Estate & Inheritance Tax planning. I am also qualified to advise on Pension Transfers.
