How do you describe what you do?
I work alongside financial intermediaries within the East Anglia region. My role involves promoting the Evelyn Partners investment propositions, developing new strategic partnerships, and maintaining relationships from a servicing perspective.
What's next for you professionally?
I would like to continue the growth of Evelyn Partners' investment propositions.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
Never assume that because you have sold something to someone, that they can then sell it to someone else, give them the words to do so.
What's an experience with a client that's stuck with you?
I believe that in business development, you can only show your true value when something needs correcting. Service and reliability is at the heart of my role, without these, you will never be successful.
How did you start off in your career?
I began working in investment management back in 2000, after a short stint in the legal profession. I have been fortunate to have undertaken a wide of range roles, including administration, sales, and managerial positions.
What's your area of expertise?
The ability to build relationships and not just sell. People don't want to be sold to, they want a solution to a problem, my role is to help identify these to add value to an intermediaries business.
What's your favourite thing about your role?
The role allows you to meet different people every day. We have such a wide range of investment propositions, and every firm will require something different, whether that be from a solution perspective, or a servicing one.
When you're not at work, what's your favourite thing to do?
I like to spend time with my wife and two young children, and play football and cricket for my local teams.
