How do you describe what you do?

My main area of expertise is working with our most vulnerable clients including those who have gone into care, are going through a divorce or separation, or suffered a serious injury.

What's next for you professionally?

To continue to be the best at my role that I can, to support up and coming advisers to grow and develop their skills within the industry, therefore encouraging the next generation of Financial Planners.

What's an experience with a client that's stuck with you?

One of my clients lost their spouse, who looked after the family finances, in tragic circumstances. I have worked with them now for 5 years and have seen their confidence grow when dealing with their financial affairs.

How did you start off in your career?

I returned from Australia with my baby (he's now 23) and went into HSBC Bank to pay in a cheque. I asked if they had any positions available and they confirmed they had a cashier position coming up. 22 years later I'm still in finance.

Why does my role as a wealth manager matter?
