How do you describe what you do?
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated practitioner of financial planning, who finds great satisfaction in helping my clients see the pathway to their best financial futures.
What's next for you professionally?
I currently manage a team of other financial planners and, whilst maintaining a core of clients, I would like to really help them be their best selves and further their careers.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
Alway's give 100% effort to the task you are assigned, do it once and do it right.
What's an experience with a client that's stuck with you?
One of my first ever retirement planning clients, who felt they were unable to retire for another 5 years. Through the planning process, we were able to ascertain not only could they retire immediately, but also that they could spend more!
How did you start off in your career?
I was a management apprentice at a builders merchant and later assistant manager, then a branch manager at a fencing suppliers, then an operations manager at an alloy wheel refurbishment firm. Evelyn Partners was my first financial advice role.
What's your area of expertise?
Pension and retirement planning.
Where do you get your inspiration to embrace what's next?
I find that seeing the competence and expertise of the people around me, I always want to improve and bring myself to the next level, so I can show that same competence to my clients.
What's your favourite thing about your role?
I love speaking with clients and helping them as best I can. We can, and do, change people's lives with the work we do.
What's next for you personally?
I would love to continue with my trajectory with Evelyn Partners, learning and improving each day, to be the best I can be.
Where's your favourite place to meet with your clients?
As I work in CRT, all of my interactions are on Teams or on the telephone.
When you're not at work, what's your favourite thing to do?
I am a keen motorsport enthusiast and take part in Tarmac Stage Rallying, so either taking part in that or fixing the car if I have had a little "off" at the previous rally.

- BA Honours in business management
- CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (APFS - Chartered Financial Planner)
