How do you describe what you do?
I provide guidance and advice on long-term investment strategies to UK and international private clients, in a wide variety of investment structures.
What's next for you professionally?
I am to continue to meet the varied, and often complex, objectives of our clients for many years to come.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
Looking after clients' investments is a privilege - do not take it for granted.
How did you start off in your career?
I started my career in 2012, joining the investment management graduate scheme at Smith & Williamson, straight from the University of Bristol.
What's your area of expertise?
Investment management for UK and international private clients; family investment structures (including OEICs and FICs); trust structures; succession planning.
What's your favourite thing about your role?
The variety - no client is the same and their objectives often change. As a result, no two days are the same and the work is rarely complete, as portfolios continue to evolve in response to prevailing client needs.
When you're not at work, what's your favourite thing to do?
Right now, any down time with my young family is gratefully received, and improving my golf handicap remains a pipe dream!
