Professional Biography
I have learnt through experience how fragile life can be so it's important to not live for tomorrow.
How do you describe what you do?
I provide bespoke investment advice to a range of private clients, trusts and charities across the country.
What's next for you professionally?
I would like to continue to provide a consistently high level of service to my clients so that they might consider referring us to their friends and family. Meeting clients and discovering how we can help them is the most interesting part of my job.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
Seize the day! I have learnt through experience how fragile life can be so it's important to not live for tomorrow.
How did you start off in your career?
I started in a back-office function at a different firm before moving here in 2006 as an Investment Administrator. The rest is history!
What's your area of expertise?
Me and my team build bespoke investment portfolios for our clients.
Where do you get your inspiration to embrace what's next?
I want to give my sons every opportunity in life to have new experiences either for themselves or that we can share as a family.
What's your favourite thing about your role?
Reflecting on a job well done for a client gives me a sense of satisfaction. Whilst that is the main function of my job, seeing it in action and how it can impact lives is hugely rewarding.
What's next for you personally?
I am a keen runner and I am still chipping away at my marathon time. I have a longer-term ambition of completing all of the World Major Marathons.
Where's your favourite place to meet with your clients?
In order to build a long-term trusting relationship with clients, it is important that they feel comfortable sharing personal information with me. People often feel most comfortable in their own homes, so I prefer to meet clients there.
When you're not at work, what's your favourite thing to do?
I like to run both in pursuit of personal achievement as well as providing a space for me to relax and switch off. When I'm not running or working, I love to see my children achieve and be happy.
Why does my role as a wealth manager matter?
The ever-changing geo-political, economic and fiscal landscape makes good advice more valuable than ever. I have seen how costly it can be in the long-term when people try and save money by doing things themselves.
