I love helping my clients to naviate and an ever changing world.
How do you describe what you do?
I lead a portfolio management team within the North, Scotland, and Northern Ireland region. We build and manage discretionary portfolios for individuals, trusts, charities, and corporate clients, helping them achieve their financial objectives.
What's next for you professionally?
I'm focused on continuing to provide excellent service for our clients as we navigate the current market environment, and on the further development of my team.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
Professionals act as they must, not as they feel A colleague shared this with me years ago, and it’s stuck. It reminds me to stay client-focused, especially in challenging moments.
How did you start off in your career?
My career in financial services started in 1999 when I joined the graduate training scheme at Clydesdale Bank. I spent around a year in branch banking in Edinburgh, then I transferred to the Portfolio Management Unit in Glasgow.
What's your favourite thing about your role?
The variety and the ever-changing nature of financial markets. That constant evolution keeps my role interesting.
