Speakers and Topics

Charity Accounting Update for Charities

Eunice McAdam from Saffery’s Not-for-Profit team will provide an update on the changes from the 2026 Charities SORP. The session will focus on the principal changes impacting revenue recognition and accounting for leases with some worked examples to illustrate these changes.

Investment Outlook for Charities

Mark Graham and Debbie Hair from Evelyn Partners’ Charities Investment Team will provide an update on global investment markets. Their session will focus on major megatrends shaping the investment landscape, including the AI Revolution, the bumpy energy transition and the changing world order. They will also explore how charities can invest responsibly while navigating these developments.

Legal Update for Charities

David Smith and Rose Younger from Turcan Connell’s Charity Law Team will provide an overview of what being a charity trustee involves. This session will focus on trustee duties, board responsibilities and the value of good governance to your whole organisation. They will also provide a brief update on recent legislation that could impact your charity and lessons that can be learned from OSCR inquiries.
