Experience
Chris joined Smith & Williamson in 2005 having previously worked for Bank of Ireland in Dublin. On completion of the CISI Diploma he was appointed investment manager in 2008 and Associate Director in 2013 and Partner in 2019.
Chris is our charity specialist within the Belfast office having managed a large number clients within this sector since 2008
He manages portfolios in a wide range of tax environments, including pension funds, ISAs, non-standard residence and domicile. Chris is also experienced in working with more complex family structures and issues surrounding inheritance and succession planning.
Chris’ approach ensures the investment decision making process is robust and suitable for each particular client taking time and care to involve all interested parties throughout.
Professional qualifications/memberships
Holds BA (Hons) degree in Business Finance and Investment from the Ulster University
Chris is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and is an integral member of the NI Committee.
