My favourite part of my job is the relationship building with clients, nurturing an initial professional connection into a more personal relationship as you understand their affairs and aspirations and how you can be on hand to help realise these.
How do you describe what you do?
Investment Manager with a strong focus on investment strategy, stakeholder engagement and business performance. I partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic priorities and drive long-term value creation through effective portfolio management.
What's next for you professionally?
I look forward to the integration into the NatWest Group and to bringing my clients new opportunities, broader capabilities, and greater value through access to the wider group's expertise and services.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
You will continue learning as markets evolve, client expectations change, and new opportunities emerge every day. That constant evolution keeps the role both challenging and rewarding, and continually pushes you to grow!
What's an experience with a client that's stuck with you?
Guided a client through the creation of a specialist trust for their disabled child, providing tailored support to meet their family's long-term needs.
How did you start off in your career?
I started my Investment Management career after joining the Ethical Fund Management team at Albert E Sharp in 1998.
What's your area of expertise?
Alongside our Discretionary clients, I also work with Investment Advisory clients, delivering a joint approach to investment management whereby client and practitioner collaborate to construct our portfolios best suited to their needs.
What qualifications and memberships do you have?
Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).
