Evelyn Partners, the leading integrated wealth management and professional services group, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Stephen Drew to lead its professional services team in Cambridge in a newly expanded role.
Stephen has been with Evelyn Partners for 25 years. As Regional Managing Partner, he is also responsible for leading the professional services team in the firm’s Birmingham office, where he has successfully trebled both headcount and revenue in the last four years.
The appointment follows Evelyn Partners’ acquisition of Ashcroft Partnership in April 2023 which gave the group a presence for its professional services business in Cambridge. The 43-strong team, based on Trumpington High Street offers clients a range of assurance, corporate finance, business and personal tax services.
With ambitious growth plans for Cambridge and the wider East Anglia region, Stephen will be focussed on growing the business across its professional service lines, expanding into new sectors, such as medical and healthcare, pharma, agritech. He will also utilise wider Evelyn Partners capabilities and expertise in R&D, global mobility, assurance, outsourcing and advisory services.
The Cambridge team was recently expanded with new senior hires from Big Four firms. Suzy Hawkey and Mark Prince joined Evelyn Partners in November, formerly of Deloitte and KPMG respectively. Suzy is a Director of Private Client Services and Mark is an audit Partner, focussed on building the Cambridge audit team and proposition.
