Evelyn Partners, the leading integrated wealth management and professional services group, has bolstered its tax team with the appointment of three new partners. Alistair Nichol joins as a partner specialising in technical tax and transactions, Jayne Harrold as a partner focusing on environment tax and Laura Hayward* as a private client tax partner.
These latest senior appointments bring the number of partners hired by Evelyn Partners’ professional service business in 2022 to 14. In addition, 5 partners were promoted internally this year.
Alistair Nichol has 18 years' experience advising on tax in the financial services sector. His practice spans tax advisory and transactions, both UK-focused and international. He also has significant expertise in both financial and regulatory tax accounting and experience in using tax technology to solve clients' most pressing business issues. Prior to joining Evelyn Partners, he was an associate partner at EY, where he worked for over 17 years. He most recently worked in the tax team at Lloyd's of London, covering the North America region. Alistair will support the build out of our Financial Services offering, initially focusing on insurers, brokers and investment managers.
Jayne Harrold joins Evelyn Partners’ from PwC where she spent 11 years and had a national role leading the firm’s UK environmental tax team focussed on packaging, waste, energy, and resource taxes. Jayne leads and manages multi-territory projects delivering plastic packaging tax and other environmental tax advice.
Laura Hayward has extensive experience of providing tax planning services to private individuals and has worked in this area for over 16 years. Joining Evelyn Partners from BDO, Laura focuses on advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, their families, businesses and trust structures. This may consist of capital taxes planning, for example estate planning, the sale of business assets and development land, trust planning, succession and family investment companies. Laura enjoys building long-term relationships with her clients, joining them on their journey, from start up, growth, to exit or succession and beyond. She often works alongside other advisers to produce the best outcome for mutual clients.
