Tilney for Intermediaries, the discretionary investment manager for intermediaries, is pleased to announce that from the group’s Managed Portfolio Service (MPS)* model portfolios are available for financial advisers to access via the Standard Life Wrap DFM Investment Hub.

Tilney’s MPS models comprise nine different risk-based asset models, ranging from ‘Defensive’ for the most risk-averse to ‘Maximum Growth’ for the most risk-seeking. Each of the models contain around 20 holdings to provide the optimal level of diversification, and make use of the group’s extensive research, analysis and fund selection. The models are periodically rebalanced to meet the specific asset allocation for each strategy. On the Standard Life Wrap DFM Investment Hub, the MPS models are available for advisers to invest their client’s assets in at an annual management fee of 0.3% +VAT.

The Standard Life Wrap DFM Hub offers a practical solution for advisers looking for outsourced investment solutions, while maintaining the direct relationship with their clients. Crucial to an adviser’s investment suitability process, all nine model portfolios have been mapped against two leading third-party risk mapping tools. FinaMetrica has mapped its risk tolerance scores against MPS, as has Distribution Technology which provides a measure of the long-term investment risk of fund strategies, and a mechanism for selecting funds appropriate for investor risk appetites and capacity.

Miles Robinson, Head of Tilney for Intermediaries, said: “Having the Managed Portfolio Service models on the Standard Life Wrap DFM Hub is a true milestone for Tilney for Intermediaries. It will allow us to support a greater number of advisers and their clients with a robust, suite of risk-rated investment solutions built on proprietary investment research, accessible through the convenience of a leading platform. We believe that there is a significant benefit for the end client in having the expertise of DFM, and for the adviser, in having oversight of their clients’ investments in one place.”
