Saga Investment Services, the investment and financial planning business owned by Saga and Tilney Bestinvest, has announced the appointment of Nicola Audhlam-Gardiner as Managing Director.

Nici joins from Williams & Glyn, where she is Marketing Director. She was previously Products and Marketing Director for the Corporate Bank of RBS and has held Retail Director roles at Santander and Lloyds Banking Group. Nici holds a BA from the University of Oxford, an MBA from Harvard and sits on the Board of Catalyst, a social housing company. Nici will take up her role in August 2015.

Lance Batchelor, Saga Group Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are delighted that Nici has agreed to join Saga Investment Services. Nici stood out during a comprehensive recruitment process, particularly given the number of financial services offerings she has successfully launched. She will make an important contribution as we work to launch a wealth management solution specifically for the UK’s over 50s later this year.”

Peter Hall, Chief Executive of Tilney Bestinvest, said: "Nici's appointment is a key milestone in preparing for the launch of Saga Investment Services. The JV brings together Saga's insight into the UK's over 50s with Tilney Bestinvest's investment and financial planning expertise. With the recent radical shake-up of pensions, there has never been a greater need for high quality advice and support from a trusted brand."
