Leading UK investment management and financial planning group Tilney has been accredited as a STEP Employer Partner. This status recognises the learning and development the company provides to its working professionals.

STEP is the global professional association for practitioners who advise families across generations. STEP works to improve public understanding of the issues families face with inheritance and succession planning and promotes education and high professional standards among its members. STEP has more than 20,000 members across 95 countries from a range of professions, including lawyers, accountants, financial planners, investment managers and other specialists.

To achieve the status STEP Employer Partner, employers needed to set out their learning and development policies, as well as demonstrating working evidence of these policies through case studies and other examples. Gaining this accreditation is testament to the strength of the learning and development strictures Tilney has in place.

James von Simson, Investment Director at Tilney, commented: “This is a great accolade to achieve. By gaining this status we are able to highlight all the steps we undertake to ensure we not only employ the highest calibre of individuals, but also that we continue with their professional development to keep them at their top of their field.

“The accreditation highlights the strides we take for our employees and our passion for each individual’s progress. We already have a high number of STEP members, but wish for as many of our advisers to join the association as possible. However it is only the start – next step, Gold Status!”

Gemma Copestick, Senior Manager Employer Partnerships at STEP added, “We are delighted to welcome Tilney Group to the STEP Employer Partnership Programme. Tilney has demonstrated commitment to the professional development of its staff, within a supportive learning culture. We congratulate the Group on this well-deserved accreditation.”
