Tilney Bestinvest sponsor ‘Art for Care’ event

Leading financial planning and investment group Tilney Bestinvest is sponsoring the ‘Art for Care’ exhibition, held between Thursday 4th and Saturday 6th June at the historic Glasgow Art Club. The exhibition raises money in aide of charity Marie Curie, which provides care and support to people living with terminal illness.

Now in its second year, all of the works shown at ‘Art for Care’ will be available for purchase, with at least 50% from the sale of each work going to Marie Curie. High-profile Scottish artists Iain Faulkner and Gerard Burns have both donated pieces, including Faulkner’s ‘Flow II’, an oil on canvas worth £9,000. As sponsors, Tilney Bestinvest has played an important role in the running of the exhibition, with the firm’s Business Development Executive Alison Fitzsimons sitting on the organisation committee.

Paul Frame, Managing Director & Head of Tilney Bestinvest Glasgow and Marie Curie Hospice Glasgow Development Board Member, said: “Last year’s inaugural event helped to pay for two Marie Curie nurses for a year and this event is shaping up to be even better. Tilney Bestinvest has strong links with Marie Curie and our Glasgow office has taken part in fundraising for the charity on a number of occasions. We are proud that we can contribute to the vital care they provide.”

The exhibition will be open to the public from 11am to 6pm, Thursday 4th to Saturday the 6th June 2015, and there will be a special preview hosted by Tilney Bestinvest, with an appearance by contributing artist Gerard Burns taking place for selected guests on Wednesday 3rd June.
