Two associate advisers hired in Edinburgh

Leading financial planning and investment management group Tilney announces that it has hired Graham Murphy and James Reekie as associate advisers. Both men will join the team in our Edinburgh office.

Both Graham and James will join the company’s telephone advice service, offering dedicated advice to clients across the region.

Graham has had a long career in the financial services industry, holding a number of roles, including 10 years as a financial adviser at Bank of Scotland Bancassurance. Most recently he has worked for Natwest Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland as a client portfolio executive and a file review manager respectively.

James joins from Royal London intermediary where he spent nearly four years in a number of roles, including pensions business support consultant. Most recently, he spent nearly three years as a telephone account manager.

Tilney is one of the largest wealth managers in Scotland and one of a handful of firms with an office presence in the nation’s three largest cities: Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

Steven Sprague, head of the Tilney Telephone Advice Service, said: “Providing specialist advice to clients over the telephone is a very important part of our business and tailors specifically to those clients who do not require ongoing face-to-face service. I am delighted to welcome these two talented individuals to our team.

“Tilney is proud to be one of the few UK-wide wealth management firms to have offices in the three largest cities in Scotland and we are deeply committed to growing our presence in each of these, as these two new hires are testament to.”
