Tilney sets up financial planning team in the Winchester area

Leading UK wealth management group Tilney, which looks after over £24 billion of assets for clients and was last year awarded Wealth Manager of the Year by the Financial Times and Investors Chronicle, has established a financial planning team to cover Winchester and the surrounding area. While Tilney has long had an office in Micheldever, close to Winchester, the office has previously focused exclusively on providing investment management services to private clients. This is the first time that dedicated financial planners will be based in the office.

Steve McNamara joins from national advice firm Chase de Vere where he worked for five years as a financial planner. Prior to this Steve worked for a number of years in a technical capacity for financial planning firms – from smaller boutiques to larger companies which include the wealth management division of top 30 accountancy ‘BDO’ and also investment and pension provider Old Mutual Wealth.

Also joining the team is Hollee Vivian who joined Tilney four years ago as financial adviser based in Bracknell after graduating with a law degree. Hollee holds Diplomas from the Personal Finance Society and Chartered Insurance Institute is now an associate financial planner.

The team are able to provide financial planning advice on a wide ranging of needs including pensions and retirement planning, inheritance and estate planning, tax efficiency, saving for children and education fees, protection and making financial gifts. As part of Tilney’s ‘dual expert’ approach, they will work alongside, the firm’s award winning investment managers to provide a high quality integrated wealth management service to enable clients to organise their financial affairs and have an investment strategy tailored to their objectives.
