Business Tax Conference 2024
An essential in-person event for all Heads of Tax, CFOs and FDs
Keynote speaker
Krishnan Guru-Murthy has been a well known television journalist for over thirty years and was named Network Presenter of the Year at the Royal Television Society Journalism Awards 2022. As well as daily news he also presents foreign documentaries, travelling to some of the planet’s most far flung and dangerous places including Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon. He has covered eight British general elections, interviewed six Prime Ministers and many world leaders as well as presenting a host of special live television debates. He also hosts a popular, award-winning podcast.
Krishnan has chaired a number of high level conferences and awards in Britain and around the world. His first foray into television came presenting the BBC youth discussion programme, 'Open to Question', at the age of 18 before he set off for Oxford University to read Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Krishnan went on to present the children's programme Newsround, then was a reporter on the current affairs programme Newsnight before helping to launch the BBC News channel. He also presented a Sunday morning politics show on LBC radio and for some years wrote a column for the Metro newspaper. He has appeared on a range of entertainment programmes from “Eight out of Ten Cats” to 'Have I Got News for You' and played himself in the hit British zombie movie “Shaun of the Dead”.
2023 saw Krishnan surprised, delighted and slightly confused to be joining the cast of Strictly Come Dancing, but you only live once!
