Contact Action Fraud – visit the website to report a case of fraud online, or telephone them directly on 0300 123 2040.

Contact your Evelyn Partners advisor, Investment Manager or Financial Planner – even if the fraud does not involve your Evelyn Partners account.

Contact your bank - if the fraud involves your debit or credit cards, direct debit or cheques, etc.

Change the password on your email accounts – if you suspect your email account has been compromised scan your devices for malware (malicious software) using antivirus software and change the password to something long and complex. Additionally, change the passwords on any other online accounts linked to that email account – such as online shopping accounts, social media accounts or online banking accounts.

Register with CIFAS – CIFAS is a not-for-profit fraud prevention membership organisation which manages the largest database of instances of fraudulent contact in the county. It offers protective registration to victims of identity fraud or those whose information may be at risk following a data breach.

Register with credit reference agencies – such as Equifax or Experian, to check for any unusual activity against your name.
