Adapting to a modern workforce - employment tax roundtable

The event will comprise of short technical update presentations led by Evelyn Partners, followed by facilitated conversations amongst those attending the event to explore the issues and how they are impacting organisations, so please come ready to discuss items of interest relating to your people!

The event will broadly encompass three key themes:

Changes to the workforce profile – we will consider forthcoming changes to the ‘off payroll worker’ rules, the impact of the recent HMRC v Bluecrest Capital Management salaried members rules case, as well as tax and social security developments relating to cross border working arrangements.

Benefits to engage your people – well-chosen employee benefits are key to engaging your workforce. We will consider the tax aspects of some popular benefits (vehicles, car allowances), the exemptions which should be factored into your expenses policy to save costs and the move to supporting employees with their financial wellbeing.

Effective reward structures – when considering incentive arrangements, organisations often focus on a specific vehicle (such as an EMI plan or Growth Shares), rather than harnessing an arrangement best suited to their current and future needs. We will discuss design considerations and how they should be used to determine which arrangement is chosen.
