Join us as an expert panel discusses the scope of liability imposed on directors of UK companies and how to mitigate the risks in the light of new case law.

The panel will discuss the position of executive directors and non-executive directors, and outline of the various claims that can be brought against them, and by whom, as well as how directors in the UK should behave, and actions they can take to mitigate against liability and the risk of claims against them.

The event will begin with a brief presentation by each of the four panel members on the topics, before the floor is opened for an interactive question and answer session.

Find out more about:

  • The duties that directors owe to companies to act in good faith to promote the success of the company for its members.
  • How each director can ensure compliance with that duty.
  • When is delegation acceptable to achieve that end?
  • Is there a point at which delegation becomes dereliction of duty?
  • Developments – recent case updates.
