The pension industry is notorious for making a meal of its language – that’s why we’ve created this guide to pension jargon as part of our Pension Week campaign. We hope it’ll make some of the most complex pension terminology more accessible.

What’s in the guide?

Inside the guide we’ve covered some of the most common – and most complicated – jargon that you could come across when planning for the future. You’ll find simple definitions for the likes of:

  • Benefit crystallisation event
  • Money Purchase Annual Allowance
  • Uncrystallised funds pension lump sum
  • Annuity
