Experience
Jonathan has acted as expert witness in a range of professional negligence cases involving audit and financial reporting.
He has advised numerous clients on the transition to FRS 102, including options and impact assessments.
His clients are from a variety of sectors but one of his key areas is registered providers of social housing. Jonathan has provided auditing and advisory services to this sector for over 20 years and is chair of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Social Housing committee.
Notable achievements
- Leading numerous cases acting for both defence and claimant, including alleged auditing negligence under ISA and ISA (UK and Ireland), financial reporting negligence under UK generally accepted accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Advising on audit and financial reporting matters for more than 100 separate social housing providers.
