Experience
Matt works with individual, trust & family office clients; to deliver bespoke tax and commercial advice covering personal and business wealth. His client base spans across UK and global entrepreneurs, family businesses, c-suite and private equity executives plus family offices.
Matt also leads Evelyn's tax sports business, assisting UK and overseas sportsmen and women meet their international tax obligations in an increasingly complex environment.
Notable client work and achievements
Matt was the lead sell-side tax adviser on the disposal of a renewables business worth several hundred million pounds to a UK listed firm in 2022, assisting with the sell-side structuring for the owners and guiding the business through a complex and aggressive tax due-diligence process.
Matt helped structure the separate sale of the property and trading elements of a London-based BMW dealership, enabling the Founder to maximise his commercial return whilst also delivering capital gains tax treatment on the exit proceeds.
