These are designed to supplement our live annual Contemporary FD Summit, scheduled for September 2023, where the CFOs and FDs of the country's most exciting, innovative and ambitious companies come together to share ideas.

For this session we are pleased to welcome Colin Grimsdell, a results orientated CFO (and CEO) who will be sharing his knowledge, tips and insight gained from a career ranging from FTSE100plc, AIM plc, SMEs, PE- backed and large family owned businesses.

Colin’s experience includes:
Preparation and execution of business disposals ranging from £10 m to £100m including the exit of Sanctuary Spa Holdings to PZ Cussons;

Managing complex stakeholder interests and negotiations with Trade, Private Equity and Listed companies including share placing;

Leading the senior team in developing strategic 3 year plans including robust financial models to support and influence the level of acceptable investment/risk profile;

Working to help to stabilise, turnaround and refinance businesses, managing bank relationships and raising essential funding through equity, loan stock , convertible bonds and bank facilities;

Colin will also be reflecting on the transferability of his skills across his journey so far and the specific nature of the role of the CFO in an entrepreneurial environment, with a particular emphasis on consumer/FMCG markets given Colin’s background.

Colin will be in conversation with Sarah Hunt, CEO and Founder of Equity FD who will also be joined by Jonathan Balcombe, partner from Evelyn Partners who will be sharing some up to date insight from their dynamic client base.
